So the Calgary Flames comes to South Florida for a great match up with the Panthers!
The Florida Panthers just recently came home after their best road trip in franchise history, beating the Nashville Predators, San Jose Sharks, Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Kings and the St. Louis Blues sweaping the entire road trip before Edmonton put a stop to the fun on Wednesday night beating the Cats 4-3.
The Flames however comes of a two game winning streak having beaten both the Nashville Predators and the Lightning.
Calgary is also 31-26-4 while the Panthers are 28-21-10 so far, so it’s in the favor of the Panthers in my opinion 😉
What do they need to do to get a win here tonight?
Well, Florida recently lost to the Edmonton with Reims playing a couple of games in a row, so chances are that Luongo will get the call tonight and he’s not been very sharp lately. Let’s just hope a good rest has served him well 🙂
The fantastic first line of Huberdeau, Barkov and Jagr has been unbelievable since the return of Barky and Huby, but they couldn’t get much done last game as Barkov was the only one of the three getting a point.
Jokinen had two assist though and has looked very good of late, and he’s a very important piece that’s had a huge struggle this season.
So if the first line can’t get it done tonight, the Panthers needs to get secondary scoring from the Trocheck and Bjugstad lines.
But if the first line can kick ass like the’ve done recently, then I think Florida should have no problem tonight providing the defense picks up a little.
Decpite the loss against the Oilers, they still played a pretty good game so there will be no problem bouncing back tonight.
And Bobby Lue, we believe in you!
